14 inmates escape from Gazipur safe home, 7 rescued
Some 14 inmates fled from a safe home in Gazipur city's Mogarkhal area on Wednesday night.
Gazipur Deputy Commissioner SM Tariqul Islam said, "The inmates fled one by one after breaking the grill of the first floor window of the centre at night. Later, they climbed down the building with the help of coverlets on their beds."
However, police rescued seven inmates after conducting drives in Joydebpur Railway Station area, GMP Deputy Commissioner of Police Zakir Hasan.

There are a total of 34 residents in this centre, said the DC adding that the incident is being investigated.
