144 stranded Bangladeshi migrants repatriated from Libya
Each repatriated migrant received Tk6,000, along with food supplies, medical assistance, and temporary accommodation, as part of the IOM's support package
In a collaborative effort by the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), 144 undocumented Bangladeshi migrants stranded in Libya's Benghazi were repatriated to Bangladesh today (1 October).
The migrants returned home aboard a chartered flight of Buraq Air (UZ 0222), which landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7am.
Upon arrival, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and IOM officials welcomed the returnees at the airport.
