4 burnt in a gas cylinder explosion in Gazipur
Due to the severity of their injuries, two of the victims were moved to the intensive care unit after observation in the emergency department
Four people, including a woman, were burnt in a gas cylinder explosion in Gazipur last night.
The injured have been identified as Md Tanzil, 22, Rabbi, 20, Shamsul, 65, and Rozina Haque, 49.
Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Kashimpur Police Station, said the injured were burnt in a gas cylinder explosion at a residence in Bagbari area of Kashimpur.
The injured were initially treated at a local clinic before being transferred to a hospital in Dhaka for advanced care.
Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident doctor at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, informed that the victims were brought to the hospital's emergency department in critical condition last night.
Tanzil suffered 30% burns, Rabbi 23%, Shamsul 5%, and Rozina 3%.
