4-day Heritage Handloom Festival begins in Dhaka

The Heritage Handloom Festival has started at the Gardenia Grand Hall at Gulshan in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.
The four-day long festival will remain open for all from 10am to 8pm everyday till October 26.
The SME Foundation and Association of Fashion Designers of Bangladesh (AFDB) has jointly organised the festival for the second time.
A total of 45 stalls are displaying different types of traditional cottage industry products at the festival.
Among the products on display at the festival are jute products, Jamdani, Khadi, Rajshahi silk, cane and bamboo products, folk art, Nakshi Kantha, Mirpur Benarasi, Tangail handloom, Sirajganj handloom including Lungi, Gamchha, Saree, Rangamati handloom and Monipuri handloom.
