Abrar murder: Majed sent to jail
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satabrata Sikdar passed the order
A Dhaka court on Friday sent Majedur Rahman Majed to jail in connection with the Abrar murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satabrata Sikdar passed the order after Majed was produced before the court following his five-day remand, confirmed General Recording Officer Majhharul Islam.
Abrar, a second-year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and University, was beaten to death allegedly by some Chhatra League leaders at a dormitory in early hours of October 7.
His father later filed a murder case against 19 Buet students with Chawkbazar police station.
On October 12, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jesi put Majedur Rahman Majed on a five-day remand.
