Actress Suborna Mustafa prevented from leaving country
Actress and former parliament member Suborna Mustafa was stopped at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, preventing her from travelling to Bangkok for medical treatment.
The incident occurred this morning (30 November), reports Prothom Alo citing a source from Suborna Mustafa's family.
According to the source, Suborna Mustafa was accompanied by her husband, playwright and filmmaker Badrul Anam Saud.

Five minutes before boarding a plane, immigration officials informed them that Suborna Mustafa is under National Security Intelligence (NSI) observation. For that reason, they cannot allow her to leave the country.
Actress Suborna Mustafa has been actively involved in Awami League politics for many years. From 2019 to 2024, she served as a member of parliament from the reserved women's seat nominated by Awami League.
