Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Motiur Rahman Sheikh has joined the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as its chief.
According to a gazette notification issued by Ministry of Home Affairs today (16 October), Motiur, formerly a deputy inspector general in the CID, has been appointed as the chief of the agency following his promotion.
After taking charge of the CID as its chief, Motiur joined an introduction meeting with its officers and employees and instructed them to work accordingly, reads a CID press release.
