Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok facilitated repatriation of 48 Bangladesh nationals
Officers of the Embassy saw them off at the airport and extended necessary assistance to them for the departure formalities
Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok has facilitated the repatriation of the eighth batch of 48 Bangladesh nationals stranded in Thailand by a special Biman Bangladesh flight (BG 4089) that left Bangkok today early morning hours in line with the Bangladesh Government's commitment to extend all possible assistance and support for repatriation of stranded Bangladeshis abroad.
41 Thai and other foreign nationals also availed this flight to join work in Bangladesh. The Biman Bangladesh flight with a total 89 passengers arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka today morning at 4am. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has arranged this special flight on self-payment basis to repatriate stranded Bangladesh nationals in Thailand. Ms. Shahnaz Gazi, Charge d' Affaires a.i. of the Embassy has thanked the Thai Government for extending their cooperation in facilitating the flight.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok has so far arranged eight special flights from Bangkok to Dhaka on 17 April, 14 May, 23 May, 26 June, 15 July, 2 September, 6 October and 18 November 2020 to send back 349 Bangladesh nationals stranded inThailand in coordination with the concerned authorities in Bangladesh and Thailand.

It may be mentioned that Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok has also facilitated the two-repatriation flights from Cambodia to Bangladesh on 7 July and 30 September 2020 by which 135 stranded Bangladesh nationals returned to Bangladesh.
