Bangladesh and India have signed seven memorandum of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation in seven sectors, including trade, energy and agriculture.
The MoUs were signed at the state guest house Padma on Thursday.
The MoUs signed are- framework of understanding on cooperation in Hydocarbon Sector, framework agreement on High Impact Community Development Projects, protocol on trans-boundary elephant conservation, supply of Equipment and Improvement of Garbage/ Solid Waste Disposal Ground in Barishal City Corporation, cooperation in the field of Agriculture, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum, Dhaka and National Museum and New Delhi and terms of Reference on India-Bangladesh CEOs Forum.
Secretary or top official of the seven ministries and institutions concerned on behalf of Bangladesh and India's High Commissioner Vikram Kumar Doraiswami signed on behalf of India.
Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque, State Minister for Culture Khalid Hossain and Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
