BARVIDA launches its official website
The web portal will be a dynamic platform for all members, customers and concerned parties
The Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) launched its official web portal www.barvida.com.bd on Monday through a simple ceremony at the BARVIDA office, according to a press release.
Abdul Haque, the present and founding president of the association formally launched the portal.
The BARVIDA leaders hoped that the web portal will be a dynamic platform for all members, customers and concerned parties to provide all necessary information on the country's reconditioned vehicle sector.

From now on the upcoming members could apply for membership online through the portal, it adds.
It is mentionable that BARVIDA has been contributing the lion's share to the country's transportation sector by supplying vehicles for more than the last three decades.
Currently, around 900 enterprises under BARVIDA membership are in operation across the country, reads the statement.
The total investment in this sector is Tk20,000 crore. The listed BARVIDA member companies pay many crore taka as revenue to the government in a year.
Moreover, more than a lakh people are employed in this sector directly or indirectly, says the press release.
BARVIDA Secretary General Mohammed Shahidul Islam, Vice Presidents S M Anowar Sadat, Mohd Saiful Islam Samrat and Md Jasim Uddin Mintu and other executive members of the association were present at the ceremony.
