Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus attended the Namaj-e-Janaza of Adviser AF Hassan Ariff at the Dhanmondi road no-7 mosque in Dhaka today (20 December).
Yunus returned to Dhaka following a 10-hour journey from Cairo, where he participated in the D-8 Summit.
Shortly after his plane landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, he received the news of Adviser Ariff's sudden demise due to a suspected heart attack.

The chief adviser immediately proceeded to the hospital to console the bereaved family.
AF Hassan Ariff, a distinguished lawyer and former attorney general of Bangladesh, passed away at 3:10pm in a Dhaka hospital at the age of 85.
