DSCC's license supervisor sacked over irregularities
Three departmental cases were filed against him for negligence, misconduct, embezzlement and fraud
Iqbal Ahmed, license and advertising supervisor of the Revenue Department of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), has been removed from his post due to irregularities, said a press release from the DSCC Mayor's Office on Sunday.
He was removed from his job by an office order signed by DSCC secretary Akramuzzaman.
The DSCC said a review of Iqbal was suspended once after he was arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion on April 23, 2008 for possessing drugs. A departmental case was also filed against him in this regard.
Besides, three departmental cases were filed against him for negligence, misconduct, embezzlement and fraud.
Iqbal was in charge of licensing and advertising in the Revenue Department of Zone-5.
