Ex-justice Rais Uddin made Administrative Appeals Tribunal chairman

The government has appointed former justice Md Rais Uddin as chairman of Administrative Appeals Tribunal for next two years on the contract basis.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification signed by its Deputy Secretary Abul Hayat Md Rafiq on Thursday (16 January).
Rais Uddin replaced current chairman Md Shawkat Hossain, whose contractual period was cancelled by the government as per the section-5 of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal-1980-Act.

The newly appointed chairman will enjoy all facilities offered to a High Court justice and his tenure will commence from the day of joining.
