HC orders to dispose 2 cases against Destiny MD within 6 months
In these cases, filed by the ACC, there were allegations of transferring money from the investments of general investors
The High Court (HC) today rejected the bail petition of Destiny Group Managing Director Rafiqul Amin in two cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) over money laundering.
HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Ahmed Sohel passed the order today.
The court also directed judicial court to dispose the cases within six months.
Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan stood in favour of the ACC in the court.
Rafiqul Amin was represented by lawyer Abdul Matin Khasru. Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented the state.
On July 31, 2012, the Anti-Corruption Commission filed the cases with Kalabagan police station. In these cases, filed by the ACC, there were allegations of transferring money from the investments of general investors.
