Now Ishraque demands cancellation of Dhaka city polls

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNPO) nominated Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayoral candidate Ishraque Hossain filed a case with an election tribunal in Dhaka.
Ishraque Hossain filed the case demanding cancellation of the DSCC election that held on February 1. He also demanded re-election to the DSCC.
He alleged that the city polls was not free and fair.
Judge Utpal Bhattacharya of the election tribunal in Dhaka accepted the case on Tuesday.
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda, Returning Officer Md Abul Kashem, winning candidate Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and five others have been made accused to the law suit.
On Monday, BNP nominated mayoral candidate Tabith Awal filed another case with the election tribunal, demanding cancellation of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) election held on February 1.
