2 held with 2,850 yaba tablets at airport
The market value of the seized yaba is reported to be around Tk1 lakh
Airport Armed Police Battalion on Monday detained two individuals with 2,850 pieces of yaba tablets, worth Tk1 lakh, at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The detainees are Md Jamiul Islam, 21, from Faridpur and Md Arif Shikdar, 23, from Gopalganj.
Police detained them when they were wandering suspiciously around the parking lot adjacent to the domestic terminal, said Alamgir Hossain, additional superintendent (ops and media) of the Airport Armed Police Battalion.

They confessed they had collected the yaba from seller Babu at Cox's Bazar and came to Dhaka by a Novo Air flight. A man named Shahin from Faridpur had also helped them.
A case has been filed against them with Airport Police Station.
Both Jamil and Arif are students of Faridpur Polytechnic Institute.
