Child allegedly raped in Mirpur
A child was allegedly raped in Mirpur in the capital on Sunday (22 September).
She has been admitted to the one-stop emergency centre at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Confirming the matter, Maksuder Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Mirpur division, said a police team was sent to the scene and they were trying to nab the accused, Sujon, 30.

The victim's elder brother Al Amin told TBS the incident took place at around 8pm.
He said they have a tea stall in the Goalbari area of Mirpur, where the accused Sujon reguarly visits. Sujon took the victim to a nearby building and raped her.
A tenant of an adjacent building noticed and informed locals. Later, locals apprehended Sujon and rescued his sister.
He has now been sent to the Mirpur Model Police Station, he said.
Al Amin also alleged that the accused is a drug dealer who sexually assaulted his sister at least four times previously.
