The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 3 militants with large quantities of arms and explosives from the remote hilly area of Naikhongchhari in Bandarban district.

Police said one of the arrestees is the main arms supplier of Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya.

More information regarding the arrest would be disclosed during a press briefing at DMP Media Centre on Monday afternoon (9 January).
