Enforced disappearance case: ICT summons 2 former RAB officials
The two were ordered to appear before court on Monday (2 December)
The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has summoned two former Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) officers in a case filed over numerous enforced disappearances and torture during the previous Awami League government.
They are former Superintendent of Police (RAB-2) Mohiuddin Farooqui and former Additional Superintendent of Police of Barishal Range Alep Uddin.
The two were ordered to appear before court next Monday (2 December), confirmed Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Gazi MH Tamim.
The tribunal, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, gave the order following the prosecution's request today (28 November), confirmed
Alep Uddin was arrested from the Barihsal metropolitan area on the night of 13 November, and Mohiuddin Farooqui was arrested from the Kaukhali (Betbunia) area of Rangamati district on the same day.
