Muggers snatch van after killing 12-year-old driver in Mymensingh

Muggers have reportedly snatched away a van after killing its 12-year-old driver in Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh district.
The deceased was identified as Md Rifat, son of Mafizul Islam of Katalsar village in the upazila.
Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station, said Rifat, a fifth grader, went missing on 27 January.

Arif Hossain, brother of Rifat, lodged a complaint with Muktagacha Police Station.
After getting a complaint, police arrested Miraz from the Joyrampur area on Sunday.
Following the confessional statement of Miraz, police conducted a drive in Narkona village on Monday morning and recovered the body of Rifat.
Rifat, a school student, used to drive the van to contribute financially to his family in need.
After interrogation, Miraz said that he took Rifat to a field where he along with others killed him.
Later, they buried the body in the mustard field after putting it into a sack.
Police sent the body to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital morgue.
