Casino kingpin Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat tried to flee the country via Cumilla border, Rapid Action Battalion's (RAB) intelligence source said.
He took position in a house in Chauddagram upazila before making the move to escape.
On information, RAB conducted a drive in the area and arrested Samrat along with his cohort Arman early today.

Sarwar Bin Kashem, RAB legal and media wing director, confirmed Samrat's arrest to The Business Standard.
Law enforcement sources also claimed that Samrat had been desperately trying to flee the country since the casino crackdown began.
Samrat originally tried to flee last week, but police intercepted him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and barred him from leaving the country.
Since then he could not be traced.
