Dengue death toll now 23: DGHS
Unofficial data claims the death toll crossing 90 already
The number of deaths from dengue fever has reached 23 as of Tuesday, August 6, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Dr Ayesha Aktar, assistant director of Health Emergency Service and Control Room, has confirmed this figure to The Business Standard.
However, unofficial data claims the death toll has crossed 90 already.
Some 2,065 people were diagnosed with dengue in the last 24 hours, and 7,658 people are being treated for it across the country, according to DGHS data.
