IU students continue demo demanding hall reopening
The protesting students demanded the administration to open the hall quickly
A group of students of Kushtia's Islamic University (IU) continued their protests on Monday in demand of reopening of residential facilities for students before the authorities hold examinations.
Students from different departments gathered in front of the university's administration building at around 11:30am and brought out a procession while chanting slogans.
The protesting students demanded the administration to open the hall quickly.
The students also said that the movement will continue until their demands are met. At that time, they demanded the vice chancellor (VC) to open the hall.
On February 14, the government extended the closure of educational institutions until February 28 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
