NSU will continue efforts to ensure quality edu: VC

North South University (NSU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Atiqul Islam has said the university will continue its efforts to ensure quality higher education and create graduates with international standards.
"The NSU has been giving its best to produce graduates who can compete in the global arena. We have already attained good positions in different world rankings for our academic excellence. We must continue it," the vice-chancellor told journalists at NSU main campus auditorium Thursday.
At the view-exchange programme with the journalists, Prof Atiqul said NSU has topped the "QS World University Rankings-Asia-2022" among the Bangladeshi private universities, and come up 215th among all the universities in Asia.
"It is a great achievement thanks to our teachers, graduates and donors," he said.
"Our main target is to increase quality at all levels and we are trying to attain the top position in Asia as well as the world," the vice-chancellor added.
"We are now running the university with the highest transparency. We have no unauthorised campus and departments," he said.
Jamil Ahmed, director (Public Relations) of NSU, conducted the programme while Dr Ismail Hossain, pro-vice-chancellor of NUS, also addressed the function.
