NU students take position in front of Public Library
National University students have taken position in front of Public Library in capital's Shahbagh area at 11.45pm Thursday, within one hour of detention of 10 protesting students.
They are demanding immediate release of the detained students and continuation of their examinations.
Earlier in day, police foiled an attempt of some students, who tried to block capital's Shahbagh intersection in protest against the government decision of examination postponement.
Initially they were taken to Shahbagh police station, later to the detective police's office.
Earlier on 22 February, the National University authorities postponed all sorts of examinations until further notice.
On the same day, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said the government has decided to reopen the public and private universities on 24 May. The residential halls of public universities will be reopened on 17 May.
