Prof Sultan Mahmud appointed UAP pro-VC
Prof Mahmud has served University of Asia Pacific for more than 20 years in different positions
Dr Md Sultan Mahmud, professor of physics, department of basic sciences and humanities of the University of Asia Pacific, has been appointed as the new Pro Vice-Chancellor of this university.
President Md Abdul Hamid appointed Prof Mahmud to the post for the next four years following the completion of the tenure of outgoing Pro VC Professor Dr MR Kabir.
Prof Mahmud has served this university for more than 20 years in different positions. He joined this university as a lecturer in 2000. He has been performing his duties as the Head of the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities for several years.
Prof Sultan Mahmud obtained his MPhil from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and PhD from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology under joint collaboration with International Program for Physical Sciences (IPPS), Uppsala University, Sweden. He has to his credit nearly 75 (seventy five) publications in national and international journals.
