No Bangladeshi university in Top 800 of Times Higher Education ranking
UK-based education magazine “Times Higher Education” formed the ranking based on several indicators, including quality of education, student-teacher ratio, quality of research, citations, and international students
No university from Bangladesh has ranked among the top 800 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.
However, 22 Indian universities and nine Pakistani universities are among the top 800, as per Times Higher Education's recently released ranking of the world's top universities for 2025.
Five universities made the list among the top 801 to 1000 – Sheikh Mujib Agriculture University, Daffodil International University, Jahangirnagar University, Jashore Science and Technology University and North South University.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BRAC University, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, American International University Bangladesh, Khulna University, Rajshahi University of Engineering, and Chittagong University have been ranked between 1001 and 1200.

Oxford University topped this year's ranking, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Harvard University took third place.
