Supreme Court lawyer Ehsanul Haque Samaji has been appointed as the special prosecutorial adviser to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The ministry issued a notification announcing his appointment yesterday (18 December).
According to the notification, the appointment is on a contractual basis for one year, effective from the date of joining.
During this period, he is prohibited from engaging in any other profession, business, or employment with government, semi-government, or private organisations.
Previously, the interim government appointed Samaji as the Chief Public Prosecutor (PP) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court.
