Fakhrul calls for arrests, exemplary punishment over attack on Krishak Dal leader, sons in Jashore
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today (24 December) called for immediate arrests and exemplary punishment of the culprits behind the recent attack on Krishak Dal leader and his sons in Jashore's Chaugachha upazila.
Unidentified men this morning hacked Md Abul Hossain, president of Narayanpur Union Krishak Dal, and his three sons with sharp weapons, leaving them seriously injured.
In a statement issued this evening, Fakhrul said, "Although the fascist government fell after the student-led mass uprising, the allies of the defeated forces are still engaged in a plot to create anarchy in the country.

"Conspirators are unable to accept the historic victory of the students and public. And that is why people, including the opposition party leaders and activists, and their family members are being attacked and killed in a vicious manner."
