'Closing educational institutions for corona not reasonable'

Health Care Division Secretary Asadul Islam on Monday said there is no logic to close country's schools and colleges now for the novel coronavirus.
"We have to be prepared with all necessary measures to battle the virus," he said during a press briefing at the ministry today.

Furthermore, the family members and relatives, who came into contact with the three coronavirus infected patients in Bangladesh, have been kept in home quarantine, Health Secretary confirmed.
Earlier, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed to the media two of the infected persons are expatriates who recently returned from Italy. The other is one of their family members.
Besides, the Bangladeshi expatriates who are arriving here are advised to stay in self quarantine, the secretary added.
Three more members of the two families are being kept in quarantine on suspicion they have coronavirus, according to IEDCR.
