Gold prices continue to go up
The new price will come into effect from next Wednesday
The price of gold has gone up yet again in a matter of weeks, reaching around Tk 53,000 per bhori [11.6 grams].
The new price, record highest compared to prices in the past 6 years, will come into effect from next Wednesday, said Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association in a press release on Tuesday.
Consumers will have to pay Tk 53,362 for per bhori of 22-carat gold, Tk 51,030 for 21-carat
and Tk 46,014 for 18-carat respectively.
Earlier on June 18, the price of gold was dropped by Tk1,166 per bhori.
