Enhanced measures against Mpox at airports and entry points
"The DGHS has determined the measures to be implemented at airports. However, the disclosure of specific details regarding these measures will be decided by the airport authorities," said DGHS Deputy Director Adnan.
The Directorate General of Health Services has introduced new guidelines and measures at airports and other entry points to mitigate the risk of Mpox (Monkeypox) infection.
Daud Adnan, deputy director of the Hospital and Clinic Division of DGHS, confirmed that health camps have already been established at three major airports and entry points following a meeting held yesterday.
"We've set up these camps to enhance screening and preventive measures," Adnan stated.

He added that more detailed information, including public advisories, will be shared at a follow-up meeting scheduled for 22 August.

In addition to the airport measures, the DGHS has called on the public to stay alert to the symptoms of Mpox and to take necessary precautions.
