Flood affected people in Satkania receive healthcare from medical camp

A medical camp was established at Talimul Quran Dakhil Madrasa in the Kaliaish union of Satkania upazila in Chattogram, offering essential healthcare services free of charge to flood affected people.

The collaborative efforts of the Sangu Youth Development Forum, Keranihat Healthcare Hospital, Pratyai Ekota Sangha, Tiger Club, local youth, and expatriate Bangladeshis culminated in the successful organisation of this crucial initiative.

Over 400 individuals, with a majority being elderly, women, and children, received treatment and complimentary medication during the camp.

Esteemed medical professionals, including Dr. Muhammad Habib Ullah Kanon, Dr. Joydeb Bosak, Dr. Mohammad Shoyeb, Dr. Nasrin Farzana Sony, and Dr. Promij Borua, generously volunteered their expertise to contribute to the camp's success.

The recent flood inflicted severe damage on road communication within the Satkania upazila, further exacerbating the challenge of accessing medical care for local residents. Recognizing this urgent need, Muhammad Abu Saleh Siddiqui, the visionary behind the Sangu Youth Development Forum and the architect of this medical camp, emphasized the compassionate intention behind establishing these free medical camps in remote areas. While considerable efforts have been made to distribute basic medicines and convey humanitarian concern to flood-affected individuals, the scale of the crisis demands a greater response.

Siddiqui humbly appealed to the broader community to unite and extend their support by providing additional medical camps, medicines, and other essential emergency services. By joining forces, the community can make a meaningful impact and ensure that the flood-stricken population receives the care and assistance they direly require.
