Health minister says the government targets getting the Covid-19 vaccine first as soon as it hits the market
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said on Monday that the government will be racing to get the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as it hits the marker after qualifying in the trails.
More than 200 companies worldwide are conducting research on developing a coronavirus vaccine. Of them, 141 companies are at the initial stage while 25 are at the human trial level, the minister told a virtual meeting.
Bangladeshi pharmaceutical experts were connected to the online view exchange meeting.

Health Service Division Secretary Mohammad Abdul Mannan presided over the meeting. He inquired about the updates on the global coronavirus vaccine race of the director general of the Directorate General of Health Services and the director general of the Directorate General of Drug Administration.
