Honorary Consul Sufi Mizanur Rahman honoured with highest commendation award by Indonesia
The relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia is deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship, says Sufi Mizanur
Ekushey Padak recipient and honorary Consul of Indonesia, Alhaj Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, was honoured with the highest commendation award by the Indonesian government.
Daurana Atiqash Dewey, special envoy of the Indonesian government and Nur Hamamur Rizki Ratnaningtyas, head of political affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, presented the commendation award at the Honorary Consul office in Khulshi, Chattogram today (24 December).
Speaking at the ceremony, Sufi Mizanur Rahman said, "The relations between Bangladesh and Indonesia is deeply rooted in history and marked by friendship. Both nations are committed to continuing their cooperation in the future and will work together to promote peace, prosperity, and development in the region."
Mentioning that Indonesia was among the first countries to recognise Bangladesh after its independence, Mizanur said, "I extend my gratitude to the Indonesian government for appointing me as the honorary consul of Bangladesh."
Special envoy Daurana Atiqash Dewey said, "Honorary Consul Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman has played a key role in fostering a friendly and cordial relationship between Bangladesh and Indonesia."
