How knife was sneaked into courtroom to be investigated: Home minister
“If we find anyone’s negligence, we will take necessary actions against them”
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said police will investigate how an accused was able to enter a Cumilla courtroom with a knife.
“If we find anyone’s negligence, we will take necessary actions against them,” he said while addressing an award ceremony of the Border Guard Bangladesh at their headquarters in the capital on Tuesday.
The minister also said more precaution and security measures would be taken to ensure courtroom safety.
CCTV cameras and scanning machines would be set up on court premises, he said.
On July 15, a murder accused stabbed another accused to death in Cumilla Additional District Judges Court in front of the judge.
