India committed to keeping its promise on Teesta: Jaishankar
Jaishankar also said that India wants speedy and safe repatriation of Rohingyas.
Visiting Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said his country is committed to keeping its promise on Teesta water sharing.
“We are trying to find out a new formula for the 54 common rivers so that both countries are mutually benefitted,” he said during a meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Dr. AK Abdul Momen at state guest house Jamuna in Dhaka on Tuesday.
On the Rohingya issue, Jaishankar said that India wants speedy and safe repatriation of Rohingyas.

The Indian minister arrived in Dhaka Monday night on a three-day official visit.
The two ministers talked about a number of issues, including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's upcoming visit to India in October.
Jaishankar is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence around 5pm today.
Bangladesh and India have many things to discuss to take the relationship between the two neighbouring countries to a higher level, Jaishankar said on his arrival.
