Int'l Crimes Tribunal seeks public info on Jul-Aug killings
The investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal has issued a notice seeking information related to the mass killings that occurred during the July-August student and public uprising against the Awami League government.
The notice, issued today and signed by Mazharul Haque, the coordinator of the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal, stated, "Anyone with information, documents, photographs, audio/video clips, or other relevant materials concerning the killings, severe injuries, arson, looting, and other crimes committed by forces of the then-government, affiliated parties of the Awami League-led coalition, associated organisations, armed criminals, or groups with illegal weapons aimed at suppressing the anti-discrimination student and public movement between 1 July and 5 August is requested to contact the Dhaka office of the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal. The information will be used as evidence in proving the crimes."
The notice also assured that confidentiality will be maintained regarding the information provided.
