A student of the Islamic University (IU) has been temporarily suspended for allegedly posting offensive contents on Facebook against the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Ashiqur Islam Patwari, an Arabic Language and Literature student on Wednesday posted defamatory remark on his personal Facebook account when Abdul Mazed, the key fugitive convict in the killing of Bangabandhu, was arrested two days ago, reported Somoy TV.
He said in the post, the murder trial of Bangabandhu killing is a business and Bangabandhu has been portrayed as a angel figure.
He has been suspended from the University when the authorities got to know about the social media post.
On Tuesday, another student from the same university was also suspended for allegedly posting offensive contents on Facebook on the same incident.
