Job seekers form human chain demanding early appointment
From the human chain, they demanded immediate publishing of viva results and training for candidates passing the test
A group of job seekers who sat for the recruitment tests for 3rd class posts at the Livestock Department formed a human chain demanding speedy appointment.
Dozens of candidates coming from across the country participated in the human chain formed in front of the National Press Club on Sunday.
From the human chain, they demanded immediate publishing of viva results and training for candidates passing the test.
Jobseeker Jalal Ahmed presided over the programme.
"We 610 jobseekers attended the viva tests for four posts of the Livestock Department on 14 March last.
Even though a long time has passed since the viva, the department is yet to publish the results. We contacted the department, but officials said there is a legal complication regarding the issue. But considering the ongoing pandemic situation and our age, we are becoming frustrated day by day," said one jobseeker Saiful Islam.
If the results are not published and the appointment not finalised by 16 December, we will announce a strict programme, he added.
Jobseeker Khairuzzaman said, "We urge the authorities to take steps for our appointments, publishing the viva results. We do not want to be the burden of our family anymore."
