Joint fire-fighting exercise conducted on St.Martin's Island
The Bangladesh Coast Guard and the Fire Service conducted a joint fire-fighting exercise on St. Martin's Island.
This follows a devastating fire on 14th January at 3:00 a.m., which destroyed Beach Valley Eco Resort and partially damaged Sayari Eco Resort.
The exercise at the Bangladesh Coast Guard Station St. Martin's grounds aimed to enhance fire safety awareness among resort owners, residents, and relevant stakeholders.

Lieutenant Commander Md Siam-ul-Haq, Media Officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, stated that resort owners residing on the island, local public representatives, Naval Police, BGB members, and the Bangladesh Coast Guard senior officials participated in the event.
The Coast Guard emphasised its commitment to public safety and announced that similar training programmes will be conducted to mitigate the risk of fire incidents and safeguard lives and property.
