Digital service ‘Raims’ launched to help immigration seekers
The automation system has incorporated over 1,600 agencies in its database aiming to provide immigration seekers with necessary information
Recruiting Agencies Information Management System (Raims), a cloud–based automation system, has been launched to help Bangladeshi aspiring immigrants get authentic information about recruiting firms.
Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad launched the digital service at a hotel in the capital on Saturday, said a media statement.
The digital system has incorporated over 1,600 agencies in its database aiming to provide immigration seekers with the firms' efficiency records and other necessary information.
"This new service will exponentially prevent the fraudulence of fake recruiting organisations that play with the fate of intending immigrants," said Imran Ahmad.
The minister also put emphasis on the proper implementation and use of this cloud-based digital service.
Other high officials of the ministry and representatives from various pro-labour development agencies were also present during the launching ceremony of the service.
Financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the programme will be implemented by the International Labour Organisation.
