The bodies of three more workers who remained missing after a dredger that sank off the coast of Chattogram's Mirsarai during the Cyclone Sitrang on Monday night
With the recovery of the three workers' dead bodies on Wednesday and another body on Tuesday night, the confirmed death toll from the dredger capsize now stands at four, Mirsarai Upazila Nirbahi Officer Minhazur Rahman told The Business Standard.
All of the deceased -- Mahmud Molla, Jahid Bari and Al Amin Fakir -- hailed from Char Joinkathi village under Patuakhali Sadar upazila.
Search and rescue operations are going on to find out the four missing workers, said Imam Hossain Patwari, official at Mirsarai Fire Station.
Eight people have gone missing after a sand-laden cargo ship sank in the Bay of Bengal off Chattogram's Mirsarai Upazila during a cyclonic storm late on Monday.
The dredger was approximately 500 feet away from the embankment in the China Harbor area near the Bangabandhu Shilpa Nagar when Cyclone Sitrang lashed the coast with stormy winds and heavy rains.
