Mobile courts fine businesses Tk2.59 lakh in 48 cases during Dhaka North drive
The business organisations were fined for conducting business without licenses, keeping expired food items in stock, and not maintaining proper hygiene rules as per the government directives
During a drive on Friday in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, mobile courts fined different business organisations Tk2,59,100 in 48 cases as they did not follow government rules.

Executive magistrates from different zones led the mobile courts. Among them, Executive Magistrate Md Abdullah Al Mamun (zone 1) collected Tk53,700 as fine in seven cases, Executive Magistrate Md Nasir Uddin Mahmud (zone 2) collected Tk35,000 in two cases, Executive Magistrate Abdullah Al Baki (zone 3) collected Tk8,700 in seven cases and Executive Magistrate Md Masud Hossain (zone 5) collected Tk3,700 in 25 cases.
During the drive, the authorities used loudspeakers to create awareness among the public regarding Covid-19 and advised them to follow government's health guidelines. They also distributed hand sanitiser and masks among the people.
