NRB Bank’s Chairman, his two family members honoured with CIP status
They are Mr Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman, chairman of NRB Bank Ltd. and chairman and managing director of Al Haramain Perfumes Group of Companies, UAE, his son Mr Mohammed Emadur Rahman, and Brother Mr Mohammed Oliur Rahman, said a press release.
The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has honoured NRB Bank's Chairman, his two family members as 'Commercially Important Person' (CIP) for their outstanding contributions to the country's economy.
They are Mr Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman, chairman of NRB Bank Ltd. and chairman and managing director of Al Haramain Perfumes Group of Companies, UAE, his son Mr Mohammed Emadur Rahman and Brother Mr Mohammed Oliur Rahman, said a press release.
With the virtual presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mr Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman received the award from Mr Imran Ahmad, MP, Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment at a ceremony held in capital's BICC on Wednesday.
Rahman has clinched the title of the highest remittance sender among the remitters through proper channel for the year 2018 in the NRB category.
He achieved the CIP status for seven consecutive years while Mr Mohammed Oliur Rahman for thrice and Mr Mohammed Emadur Rahman for the first time.
Mr Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP, Chairman of parliamentary standing committee, Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment was also present on this occasion.
