Bangla College Prof Khair Samadi dies of Covid-19
Mohammad Abul Khair who was also known as Khair Samadi, professor of Bangla at Govt Bangla College at Mirpur in Dhaka has died of Covid-19 in a Dhaka hospital today, says a family source.
He was a dedicated researcher in Sufism and wrote a number of books on the subject. Khair started his life as a teacher in 1990 at Mirpur Girls Ideal College as a lecturer in Bangla. He achieved education cadre in 14th BCS and had been teaching in govt colleges since 1993.
A post-graduate from Dhaka University, Prof Samadi taught in Narsingdi College, Brahmanbaria College and some other institutions in his long teaching career.
Khair Samadi was 58 at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, only son and a host of students, friends and admirers of his motivational speech on life, philosophy and Sufism.
