Pangaon Customs joint commissioner removed amid protest

A gazette notification by the NBR on Wednesday stated that the official will remain attached to NBR till further notice

Amid protest of the revenue officers, Pangaon Customs House Joint Commissioner Lutful Kabir has been attached to National Board of Revenue's (NBR) Dhaka office.

A gazette notification by the NBR on Wednesday stated that the official will remain attached to NBR till further notice.

Earlier on Tuesday, revenue officers at different customs houses across the country demonstrated against alleged misbehaviour of the joint commissioner.

Lutful Kabir allegedly slapped revenue officer Bhavesh Chandra at his office a week ago. Since then revenue officials have been demanding his removal and exemplary punishment to the joint commissioner.
