Peons of schools as well as Ansar members have blocked the road in front of Secretariat in Segunbagicha as part of two separate demonstrations.
Peons of schools and colleges staged the protest demanding job nationalisation and 8-hour duty.
Currently, they work almost 24 hours as they work as peons during the day and guards at night.

Meanwhile, members of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP have also blocked the road in front of the Secretariat putting forward a one-point demand of nationalising their jobs.
Taking positions in the area, a few thousand Ansar members were seen chanting slogans to realise their one-point demand.
