BNP associate bodies start long march towards Agartala
Three BNP associate bodies — Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchasebak Dal, and Chatra Dal — have started a long march towards Agartala in India, in protest against the recent attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission there, for disrespecting the national flag and the conspiracy to incite communal riots.
The long march started at 9am today (11 December) from in front of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan in the capital.
Prior to which, a short rally was held where BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi spoke as the chief guest.

Meanwhile, a road show will be held in Bhairab, Kishoreganj. Swechhasebak Dal President SM Jilani will be the chief guest, while Jubo Dal President Monayem Munna will preside over the event.
The long march will end with a rally in Akhaura. Jubo Dal President Monayem Munna will be the chief guest, while Swechhasebak Dal President SM Jilani will preside.
Earlier on 8 December, the same bodies protested the same incident with a march towards the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.
The march from Nayapaltan was stopped by law enforcement when it reached Rampura. Later, a delegation went to the Indian High Commission and submitted a memorandum.
On 2 December, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala was attacked when thousands of people took out a massive rally in the Tripura capital to protest the arrest of Iskcon leader Chinmoy Krishna Das and demand his immediate release.
The attackers entered the Assistant High Commission, took down the Bangladesh flag, set it on fire and vandalised it.
