Fakhrul to leave for US tomorrow to attend National Prayer Breakfast
'National Prayer Breakfast' Foundation will organise the annual event in Washington DC on 5 and 6 February
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will leave Dhaka tomorrow (2 February) evening to attend the 'National Prayer Breakfast' event in the US.
He will be accompanied by Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, member of the Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee of the party chairperson as well as member of the party's Standing Committee, party sources said.
Three BNP leaders - acting chairman Tarique Rahman, Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khasru, were invited to the event.
Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khasru will go to the USA via London.
Party sources said Tarique Rahman will not attend the 'National Prayer Breakfast' but his only daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman will participate in the event on behalf of him.
'National Prayer Breakfast' Foundation will organise the annual event in Washington DC on 5 and 6 February.
The foundation has gained global recognition as a platform to bring together political and religious leaders through prayer and interfaith dialogue.
